GENRAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES (SSC CGL 2023 Notification Apply Now)

 

Note-I: After a position is assigned, the Commission will not modify it owing to failure to meet any post-specific requirements for physical fitness, medical care, educational requirements, etc.(SSC CGL 2023 Notification Apply Now)The Commission makes final allotments of posts based on merit-cumpreferences of Posts submitted by the candidates. In other words, if a candidate who had greater preference for a position was chosen for that position and failed to fulfil the required medical, physical, or educational criteria, his (or her) candidature would be rejected, and he would not be given consideration for any other preferences.

Note-II: Candidates should keep in mind that some positions, such as Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Inspector and Sub-Inspector in CBN (Ministry of Finance), Sub-Inspector/Junior Intelligence Officer in NCB (MHA), Sub-Inspector in CBI and NIA, etc., have specific physical standards, physical tests, and medical standards requirements (Details given at Annexure-XVII). Before expressing their choices or alternatives for such positions, candidates must make sure they meet all of the requirements of the positions. After final selection and nomination of applicants to the User Departments, the User Department in question will perform measurements of physical standards and physical and medical tests.(SSC CGL 2023 Notification Apply Now)

Note-III: Depending on the number of positions that must be filled through this recruitment, the candidate’s merit ranking, and his preference for a particular State/UT, the candidate who is chosen for the position of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer will be assigned to various offices in the Department spread across India. Moreover, depending on administrative needs and subject to vacancy availability, the chosen applicants with a bachelor’s degree in commerce or with relevant qualifications will ideally be assigned to the Commercial stream.

Vacancies and Reservation:

1. Over 7,500 positions are now vacant. Firm openings will be identified in due time, nevertheless. Revised vacancies, if any, as well as post- and category-specific openings, will be posted in due course on the Commission’s website (https://ssc.nic.in> Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy). 2. For all categories of posts and services, where applicable and admissible, there will be a reservation for members of the following groups: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This determination will be made by the indenting ministries, departments, offices, and cadres in accordance with current government orders.
3. Only Group “C” roles are eligible for ESM openings.
4. According to Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021 issued by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, or as identified and intimated by the Indenting Departments/Organizations for specific posts, the Commission will evaluate the suitability of posts for various benchmark disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
5. The Commission chooses applicants based on the openings for various positions notified by the indenting departments and organisations. The Commission has no involvement in determining how many openings exist in any indenting department or organisation. The Indenting Departments/Organizations are responsible for implementing the reservation policy, managing the reservation roster, designating open positions for various categories, and determining which positions are appropriate for particular benchmark impairments.
